Applying as an Undocumented Student
Early Action Applications Due Nov. 1
Traditional Undergrad | fall 2026
At George Fox, we’re committed to your success and strive to support the diverse journey of each student toward God’s calling. Therefore, we do not require students to be documented to apply or be admitted.
Providing citizenship status on an application is optional, and a student’s status does not impact their admissions decision. However, if a student does apply they may be asked to provide documents connected to their status for financial aid eligibility purposes.
How to Apply
-
Fill Out the Application
Three reasons to apply now:
- It’s free!
- It's easy! No test scores or references required.

Required: Official high school transcripts
Students should provide an official transcript. Contact your high school or college office to request for transcripts to be sent to us. If your cumulative GPA is below a 3.0, we recommend submitting an academic reference with your application.
You can submit a reference in one of two ways:
- Through the application portal. You can enter your reference's contact information, and then that reference will receive an email with some short questions to answer.
- If you already have a recommendation letter on hand or your reference is already writing something, email it to your admissions counselor, and we will add it to your file.

Forget About Standardized Tests and Essays
Those aren’t required. We mean it! Spend that time applying for extra scholarships instead.

Complete the Oregon Student Aid Application (ORSAA)
Who completes the ORSAA?
Undocumented students from Oregon (residents for at least the last 12 months) can file the
ORSAA. Use this Filter Tool to answer questions about yourself and help determine whether
you file the FAFSA or the ORSAA.What if I’m an undocumented student not from Oregon?
Students who are determined ineligible to file either the FAFSA or the ORSAA (via this Filter Tool) should still file a FAFSA at StudentAid.gov. It will get processed as “rejected,” but the Financial Aid office can use the information provided on the FAFSA to potentially award a George Fox Need Grant. Reach out to your Financial Aid Counselor if you have questions.
When does the ORSAA application open?
The new ORSAA application opens each year on October 1 of the year before you need financial aid (ex: if you are starting school in Fall 2027, you will file your first ORSAA in October 2026). You need to file the ORSAA each year in order to be eligible for state-based financial aid.
Where do I complete the ORSAA?
To access the ORSAA application, first answer the questions in the Filter Tool. Once you have answered the questions, it will direct you to make an ORSAA account.
Need help filing your ORSAA?
Schedule an ORSAA filing appointment with your Financial Aid Counselor.

Institutional Aid Available:
- Merit Scholarship
- George Fox Need Grant
- Emergency Funds
- Scholarship Summit
- Multicultural Leadership Scholarship
- Visit Experience Scholarship
- Donor Funded Scholarship
Undocumented students from Oregon could be eligible for state aid and are encouraged to complete the Oregon Student Aid Application (ORSAA).
Meet these criteria?
- Attended an elementary or secondary/high school in Oregon during all three years immediately prior to earning a high school diploma or leaving school before earning a diploma
