Andrew Ramaley, DNAP, CRNA, MA
Assistant Professor of Nursing

Andrew Ramaley joined the College of Nursing in 2025 as an assistant professor of nursing, teaching remotely in the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist program.
He arrived with more than 30 years of experience in healthcare and 20 years in anesthesia, most recently working as an independent contractor in multiple facilities throughout Washington, Oregon, Kansas and New Hampshire. He previously worked as the director of staff education and as anesthesia chief for Pinnacle Regional Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas, from 2017 to 2020.
Andrew also gained academic experience as an associate professor in the Department of Anesthesia at Missouri State University for several years starting in 2020.
He lives in Lawrence, Kansas, with his wife Kimberly. Andrew has seven grown children spread throughout the country – Adam, Zach, Nate, Matt, Zarintaj, Emma and Allison – and several grandchildren. He enjoys playing in several bands (upright bass in bluegrass/Americana bands, and trombone in a ska band), theatre and voice-over work, woodworking, home remodeling, hiking, roadtrips, travel, and reading every sci-fi book he can find.
