This degree is perfect for a variety of backgrounds, including IT, management, business or another field entirely. Whether you have a professional background, coursework in IT, or you’re looking to relaunch your career, we have the resources to help you develop your skills in cybersecurity.

What Is Cybersecurity Management?

Cybersecurity management involves a combination of technical expertise and organizational management. It requires understanding the nature of cyber threats, as well as the technical vulnerabilities and risks associated with an organization's infrastructure. Cybersecurity management also involves implementing processes for managing cybersecurity risks and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

In 2023, there were 3.5 million unfilled cybersecurity jobs globally, including an estimated 750,000 in the United States.

An important aspect of cybersecurity management is developing and maintaining a culture of security within an organization. This includes training employees on cybersecurity best practices, creating policies and procedures that promote security, and establishing protocols for responding to security incidents. Understanding how cybersecurity is a human issue is key to developing an effective cybersecurity strategy.
