Welcome to the Health and Counseling Center (HCC)! We are dedicated to helping students stay healthy so they can achieve the highest personal growth and intellectual success during their time at George Fox.

Health and counseling services are available to all students at the university, and all services are provided on the Newberg campus.

Our students’ privacy is of the utmost importance. Our staff does not share personal student medical or mental health information with parents, university employees, or other practitioners without signed consent authorization.

Our Services

Primary medical care is provided by a family nurse practitioner or physician assistant, as well as a registered nurse. We can provide medical treatment and prescriptions, and help you determine the best course of action for your illnesses and injuries. 

Counseling services are also available for all George Fox students.

Hours & Location

We are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, when classes are in session (August-May), except on Serve Day.

Office visits and counseling sessions are free for undergraduate and graduate students on the Newberg campus. There is a $25 charge for all other students and employees.

Note: We only accept cash or checks (no debit or credit cards). We do not bill insurance but instead provide a receipt for you to submit to your own insurance carrier if requested.

Following is a summary of fees for Health and Counseling Center appointments:

  • Traditional undergraduates: No charge*
  • Graduate students on Newberg campus: No charge*
  • Non-Newberg campus graduate students: $25 copay per visit*
  • Employees: $25 co-pay per medical visit*
  • Assessments: Learning Disability or ADHD, $250

*Nominal charges may apply for lab work or immunizations.

Appointments are available from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All appointments are face-to-face, with telehealth appointments available on an as-needed basis.

Please call to cancel if you are unable to show for your appointment. If you are more than 10 minutes late, you will be accommodated into the next available appointment time.
