Setting Up Zoom Captions

Zoom now provides auto-captioning as one of its standard features.

Meeting Host setup (one-time only):

• Log in to Zoom using your George Fox login and password
• Go to settings, then “In Meeting (Advanced)”
• Find “Closed Captioning”
• Toggle the switch on
• A checkbox will appear that says “Enable live transcription…”. Check this box.

Each Time User Hosts a Meeting:

• Launch the meeting
• Click “Live Transcript” then click “Enable Auto-Transcription”

Meeting Participants

After they enter the meeting, they can click on “Live Transcript” and then “show subtitles”. This will only work if the Host has followed the above steps for that meeting.
