Parking Off-Campus
Due to crowded adjacent city streets, George Fox University requests that all employees, students, and visitors only park in the designated facilities on campus.
While this is not a city ordinance or city administrative issue, it is a way for George Fox to be a responsible member of the Newberg community and promote a positive witness.
This policy is called the Good Neighbor Policy.
The Good Neighbor Policy includes the areas between N. College St. to N. Meridian Street, along Fulton Street.
If you live within the "Good Neighbor Zone" you must bring your proof of residence to the Campus Public Safety office to receive a free Good Neighbor Parking Permit.
Students parking in this "Good Neighbor Zone" without the proper permit may be ticketed for parking in the neighborhood. Failure to comply with this policy may result in a parking citation.
Please refer to the Campus Parking & Traffic Regulations brochure for more information.
Off-Campus Parking Information
- The map in the Campus Parking & Traffic Regulations brochure clearly shows the designated parking spaces around campus and areas available for student parking. Student vehicles found outside marked areas will be ticketed.
- The authority to ticket off-campus comes from the university's ability to establish policies governing student conduct
- Failure to comply with this policy is the same as failure to obey any university rule or policy
- Students receiving tickets for parking in restricted off-campus areas will be treated as any other violator of parking policies.
- Bringing a car to campus is a privilege and can be revoked
- We urge you to read our Campus Parking & Traffic Regulations brochure and become familiar with parking. Once you purchase a parking permit, you are responsible for knowing the rules and regulations.
Campus Public Safety is not responsible for parking information you receive from anyone but us.
