Serve Day: September 11, 2019

Each fall, George Fox closes for one day to allow students and employees to serve surrounding communities. The tradition began in 1999 and continues to grow in scope and magnitude each year.

Serve Day 2018 took place on Wednesday, Sept. 12. More than 2,000 students and employees joined together to serve in a variety of ways – including construction, painting, weeding, cleaning and visiting with seniors – at more than 100 sites in Yamhill, Washington, Marion, Multnomah and Clackamas counties. Serve Day 2019 is planned for Wednesday, Sept. 11. We are looking forward to another great Serve Day!

If you believe your organization could benefit from Serve Day and are interested in hosting a service project, Project Request Forms will become available in June of 2019.

"Here we were, dedicating a day to serving people like Marilyn, and at the end of the day she was the one who served us with her conversation and prayer."
