Art & Cinematic Arts Building

The 12,000-square-foot Art & Cinematic Arts Building opened in the fall of 2025. Situated east of Pennington Hall and just south of the Klages Center, this state-of-the-art facility serves as the hub for the School of Art & Design and the cinematic arts program.

The vibrant space was purpose-built to foster creativity, collaboration and innovation, housing an impressive array of facilities:

  • A 66-seat theater and screening room ideal for showcasing film and media, serving students, schools, businesses and the broader community
  • Ceramics, glass and 3D sculpture studios that provide spacious, modern production environments
  • An outdoor courtyard dedicated to expanded production work and creative gatherings
  • Dedicated gallery space to exhibit student and professional artwork
  • Video editing labs, audio recording studios, a soundstage and classrooms equipped with the latest industry-grade tools
  • A standout piece of equipment: the MIA Cinema Robot, valued at $125,000 and donated by Mystery Box, placing George Fox among a select group of institutions nationwide with such cutting-edge technology
