How to Apply

If discussing Great Books with highly motivated peers appeals to you, we invite you to apply. The academic benchmarks we use for considering applicants are:

  • GPA: 3.7 or above
  • ACT (composite): 27 or above
  • SAT (ERW+M): 1290 or above
  • CLT: 84 or above

We never rely solely on test scores to make our admissions decisions - if your scores are close to these numbers, we invite you to apply.

Application Process

Apply to George Fox University
Complete Your George Fox Application
All prospective students must complete the general application to be considered for the honors program.
Apply to the William Penn Honors Program
We have a specific application for students interested in our program.
Start Your Honors Application
Both applications must be complete before November 1 to be invited to Fellowship Day, the premier scholarship competition held Dec. 5-6, 2019.
Applicants who submit their applications by the Early Action Deadline will interview at Fellowship Day, as part of the scholarship competition.
Applicants who submit their applications after Nov. 1 will be invited to interview with an honors program faculty member on campus or remotely, after which their admission decision is made.*
Letter of Intent
If accepted into the program, applicants may then secure their place by completing a Letter of Intent for honors and paying the George Fox enrollment deposit. This is the final stage in the admission process.
The Letter of Intent will be made available in December after Fellowship Day.
*Students who miss the November deadline are encouraged to apply by Jan. 15 to receive priority consideration. Our program fills up quickly, and applications received later than this date may be waitlisted.
