Matt Zaiger, MS
Assistant Professor of Engineering

The College of Engineering welcomed Matt Zaiger as an assistant professor of engineering in 2025. In the two years previous, he worked as a partner and development engineer for Flores & Zaiger Solutions LLC, for which he managed finances and developed process capabilities for laser engraving and ablation, providing specialized manufacturing solutions to aerospace clients.
Prior to that, he worked for five years as a metrology engineer with Rapid Matching Solutions in Wilsonville, Oregon, where he developed metrology and inspections procedures for precision-machined aerospace components and other industries. His areas of expertise include design for manufacture, combustion, and quality inspection systems.
Matt earned a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Oregon State University in 2019. He lives in Newberg with his wife and two children, and attends Saints’ Hill Church. He enjoys woodworking, blacksmithing, playing piano and bass guitar, hiking, backpacking, and motorcycle camping.
