Gina Miller has been at George Fox since August 2015. She received her BA in public relations from the University of Alabama in 2004, an MA in political science from the University of Alabama in 2006, and a PhD from the University of Alabama in political science in 2015.

Gina’s teaching and research interests are in the sub-field of international relations, with an emphasis on political violence. Her primary research interests are state repression and the impact of domestic and international institutions on human rights practices. Her dissertation research examines the use of repression against nonviolent dissidents and explores the impact of domestic institutions on state action.

Gina has published in The Journal of Peace Research and International Interactions. Her current research agenda examines the use of repression against violent and nonviolent dissent.
